MRS. CHAPPELEAR RITES THURSDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Leota L. Chappelear, 71, of 129 Chapman street, who died Tuesday morning at 6 o'clock in the McKinley convalescent home on Maple avenue, following six years illness, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Hearing funeral home parlors. Dr. Earle M. Ellsworth, pastor of Grace M. E. church will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Born in 1867 at Tridelphia in Morgan county, Mrs. Chappelear was the daughter of Amos and Sarah Helmick. The wife of C. E. Chappelear, she had been a resident of Zanesville for the past 35 years. She was a member of Grace M. E. church.
Besides her husband, the deceased is survived by two sons, Dana H. Chappelear of Portsmouth and Charles R. Chappelear, of Sylvania, O.; two sisters, Mrs. W. S. Gregg and Mrs. C. C. Axline, both of this city; a nephew, Earl C. Gregg, and an aunt, Mrs. J. K. Barkhurst, both of this city.
The body will remain at the funeral home until time for removal to the cemetery.
