Don lost the battle after a courageous fight with Cancer. He was the son of John E. and Ella Pearl Wilkerson. He married his sweetheart Olive Brundage, Dec 30,1940 in Price Utah. Later sealed for all eternity in the LDS Temple.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Olive, Children; Douglas (Maxine) Wilkerson, Kearns, Keith (Raylene) Wilkerson, Evanston, Gail (Kenneth) Alvey, West Jordan, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also his sister Neola "Billie" Gage Wilson and brothers, Wiley and Jasper Wilkerson.
