Visitation for Arthur W. Kingery, 79, of Momence, formerly of Kankakee, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Father John Antczak will officiate.

Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory, Kankakee. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley. He died Sunday (Sept. 25, 2011) at Momence Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Kingery worked at Northfield Square Mall and retired from Celotex in Wilmington. He was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Montrose, the son of Alvis and Mary Runyon Kingery.

Surviving are his wife, the former Sharon Surprenant, whom he married May 21, 1976, in Kankakee; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Donald Hecke, of North Carolina; two stepsons, Brian Sr. and Madona Zasada, of Kankakee, and Robert and Anna Zasada, of Manteno; one stepdaughter, Dana Byers, of Bourbonnais; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Niccum, of Fairview Heights; one brother, Carl N. Kingery, of Martinsville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Thelma Kingery and Roberta May Schuler; two brothers, Robert and Al Kingery; and his stepmother, Sybil Kingery.
