SALUDA -- Mrs. Gana Minick Padget, 87, widow of Harvey Padget, died Saturday in West Columbia. Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Joel and Ann Banks Minick. She was a former schoolteacher.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Scott (Faye) Heise, Mrs. Thomas (Ava) Merchant and Mrs. Bill (Jane) Bowen of West Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Harriette Mobley of Columbia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sardis Baptist Church, Ramey Funeral Home is in charge.
