SODA SPRINGS - Clyde J. Hilton, 35, soil scientist with the Sol Conservation Services at Soda Springs, died May 31, 1981, at Ivins of accidental electrocution.
Mr. Hilton was born June 20, 1945 at Rigby to Clyde J. Carol Fullmer Hilton. He grew up in the Menan area. He graduated from Rigby High School in 1963, Ricks College in 1967, and Brigham Young University in 1970.
On April 3, 1969 he married Sandra Lee Judd at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He lived at Idaho Falls, Arco, Rexburg, and soda Springs for the past four years, where he was employed by the Soil Conservations Services as a soil scientist. He had been with them for 11 years.
He was an elder in the Soda Springs LDS 3rd Ward and served an LDS mission in New Zealand from 1964-65. He had been active in Boy Scouts and served as chairman of the March of Dimes in Soda Springs in 1968.
He is survived by his wife of Soda Springs; two daughters, Wendy and Andrea, both of Soda Springs; his mother, Mrs. Carol Christensen of Idaho Falls; a stepbrother, Elmer Ellsworth of Lewisville; and a stepsister, Mrs. Zane (Maurine) Hall of Idaho Falls.
Services will be held Thursday in the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. Burial and graveside services will be held Thursday at the Little Butte Cemetery at Annis under the direction of the Allen Funeral Home.
