That's how my uncle learned he had a sister who didn't make it. At some point he was told (when and by whom he doesn't know) that my mother and he were the survivors of four pregnancies. It is unknown if these children were miscarriages, stillbirths, or if they died as infants.
He later understood that this sister was born between about 1942 and 1944.
This child was the daughter of my grandma, and my great grandma had a lot of miscarriages or stillbirths so perhaps the tendency was inheirited. This child's sister, my birthmother, would also have a miscarriage between 1960 and 1972, and it is likely this miscarriage is what led to her passing with the pregnancy/miscarriage-related cancer called choreocarcinoma.
