A lifelong resident of Muncie, Mr. Detrich graduated from Central High School in 1940. He retired from P.I.E. Trucking Co. in 1976. He was a member of Teamsters Local 35.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Alma; two sons, Gary Detrich, Jacksonville, Fla., and Rodney Detrich, Muncie; a daughter, Amber Evans, Muncie; two sisters, Geri Dinkins, San Antonio, Texas, and Betty Bryan, Alexandria; four grandchildren, and a niece.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
