Dallas- Carolyn Lee Alvis died peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the age of 64. She was born June 22, 1943 in Salinas, California to Carroll and Lucille (O'Donnell) Parker. She grew up in California and married Wesley Theodore Alvis on July 25, 1958 in Hollister, California. She lived in Port Orford, Washington for a time before returning to California. She moved to Oregon from Fresno in 1972. Carolyn enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, and collecting cookbooks. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley on January 9, 2003. Carolyn is survived by her son; Wayne Alvis of Dallas, her brother; Richard Parker of Waco, Texas, sister; Barbara Deer of Broomfield, Colorado, grandchildren; Bryan, Micheal, Brandon, and Courtney, niece; Tracy Townsend, and sister-in-law; Roberta Townsend.

Private interment will be at Dallas Cemetery under the direction of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. www.dallastribute.com.
