==========
From the records of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, Chambers County, Alabama:

Martha Adams was born Feb. 1st, 1819, and after a few days illness of paralysis fell asleep in Jesus the 25th day of Jan. 1878. Sister Adams joined this church October 19th, 1867, having been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for twenty years. To talk with her brethren and sisters about God and Godliness and to give a reason of the hope that she had in Christ was her great delight. She being bereaved of her husband demanded herself as a mother and taught her children strict honesty and their duty to God and man as much as in her was (and) often prayed around the fireside with and for them.
