April Dakins Pierce, age 32, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, passed into the light at her home on December 18, 1957. She had been ill the past two years, suffering from cancer.

Funeral services were held in the Wisconsin Rapids Methodist Church. Burial in Liberty Corners Cemetery, town of Buena Vista. Krohn-Berard-Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.

Mrs. Pierce was born in Buena Vista, WI, on April 2, 1925, daughter of John R. and Mildred Maria FLETCHER Dakins, now of Plover. She was married Oct. 17, 1942, in Buena Vista to Leslie W. Pierce. The couple have lived in Wisconsin Rapids the past 15 years. Mr. Pierce is employed as a carpenter by the Modern Cabinet Co. there. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving, besides her husband and parents, are two daughters, Nanette Marie and Carla Jean, at home; four brothers, George Dakins, Mishawaka, IN, Carroll, Plover, and Wilbur and Kenneth, Wisconsin Rapids; and four sisters, Mrs. Floyd Worden, Amherst, Mrs. Ray Wolslaire, Plover, Mrs. George Jaecks, Wausau, and Mrs. William Clussman, Wisconsin Rapids.

A brother and one sister preceded her in death.
