The information I have on her was gleaned from a family bible which I don't have. A distant cousin of mine had put together the history of the Coleman side of my family and she owns the bible. My great grandmother Winnie Coleman Beasley was the mother of Minnie Myrtle Mayes (from her first marriage to John Mayes. Minnie was married to William H. Brackett at the time of her death in 1923. I do have a copy of her death certificate, and although it states her birth year as 1887 (with no month and day), she was actually born on January 3, 1889. This is also corroborated by the 1900 and 1920 census as to her stated age on those documents. Her husband obviously didn't have her correct birthdate. They'd only been married for a few years. The death certificate and Tulsa Tribune newspaper story state February 10, 1923 as her date of death. It also states the names of her parents.
