Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel 3700 River Blvd. for Jill Mairiam Brown Castro,82,who passed away April 15 2003 in Bakersfield.
Jill was born on December 22 1920, in Wilby,North Haampton,England and resided in Kern County for 10 years.
It was in England during World War II,while serving in the Royal Womens Auxiliary Air Force,that she met and married Ralph Castro moving to Bakersfield in 1946.Jill devoted eher life to being a wife and mother.Her family was her passion.
She is survived by her husband Ralph;three sons,Michael,David and his wife Jane, and patrick and his wife Lisa;and six grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents,Steven and Hanna Brown;brothers Dennis and Robert Brown;sister Marjorie Walker and three infant grandchildren.A special thanks to sister,Mary Ann and the ICU medical staff at Mercy Hospital.The family requests that in lieu of flowers,donations may be made to your favorite charity.No visitation is scheduled.Greenlawn Mortuary Funeral Directors.Published in the Bakersfield
