Joanna Modisett Lindberg died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 90 years of age of natural causes.
Born April 17, 1919 in Deer Creek, she was the oldest child of Forrest and Geneva Modisett of Sycamore Farms. She was a 1937 graduate of Logansport High And later Purdue University.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rae Ann and Jeff Puff; two grandchildren, Adam and Tori Puff; a daughter-in-law Heather Mazzanti Puff; and three siblings, James Modisett, Barbara Green and Noah Franklin Modisett.
A member of the Richmond Women's Club and Ikabana International, she was a master flower show judge for the National Councilof State Garden Clubs and a member of the D.A.R. An avid bridge player and lifelong artist residing in Richmond, Va, Mrs, Lindberg's work was recently recognized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for achivement as a senior Virginia artist and was displayed in an exibition at the General Assembly
Services will be held at Deer Creek Presbyterian on Friday Nov. 13
