The funeral was at the Lincolnton Baptist Church with the Rev. R.C. Daniel and the Rev. Charles Herring officating. Burial was in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, a retired employee of Oxford of Lincolnton, a member of the Lincolnton Baptist Church, secretary of the church junior department and a member of the Homer Legg Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband, T. Fortson Scott; one daughter, Mrs. Irvin "Jan" Partridge, Two sons; Gerald Fortson Scott and Fred Thomas Scott; three sisters, Mrs. James "Sara" Teasley, Augusta; Mrs. Marvin "Betty" Ivey, North Augusta, SC; Mrs. W. Elton "Dorothy" Walker, Macon; and three brothers, Albert H. Ware; Lincolnton, Fred Gordon Ware, High Point, NC; and George Wesley Ware, Toccoa, GA.
Pallbearers were Omar Beggs, Walter Remsen, G.D. Talbert,Jr.; Allen King; Dr. W.R. Pennington, Sr., Hillyer Wright, Norris Ware, and Ernest Smith.
