William Damrel was the eldest child of John & Elizabeth Angel Damrel. He married his cousin, Emiline Mays on June 3, 1882 in Lee County Kentucky and they had one daughter, Minnie. There is reason to believe, they later divorced and he did not remarry. His death date was believed to be 1913, but there is no listing in either the 1900 or 1910 census records for him. His mother Elizabeth states in the 1900 census as having 11 children and only 7 living. William must be among the deceased. His nephew, John I Damrel, stated he was killed at DuckFork by being pushed off a cliff. His grave location is not exactly known, but he is believed to be buried directly in front of his father, John Damrel.
