Roberta (Susie) Forehand McInelly, 81, died Dec. 27, 1999, in Cottonwood. She was born on Oct. 2, 1918, in Gamaliel, Ky. She grew up in Clearwater, Fla. and married Nix B. Forehand with whom she had four children. The family moved to Flagstaff in the early 1940s and a few years, later the couple started a mining operation and business. Her husband died in 1960. With only a sixth-grade formal education Susie obtained her GED and eventually became a licensed practical nurse, working at Flagstaff Medical Center.She is survived by: her husband, Rubeck McInelly; her daughters, Nellie J. Cavender and Wanda M. Svaleng, both of Cottonwood; son, Charles E. Forehand of Graham, Texas; sister, Mrs. Jeweline McMullen of Brooksville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by: her son, Chester M. Forehand; sisters, Duvie Wells and Guesie Thompson; and brothers, Grovie (Jay) Lloyd and George W. Lloyd. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Westcott Funeral home in Cottonwood. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Flagstaff's Citizens Cemetery.
