Norma Jean Walters, San Miguel, CA
Born on March 26, 1942 in Atascadero, CA and went to be with God on September 8, 2011. She married the love of her life, Robert Walters, on December 27, 1958 and they shared 52 years of love. Her career in education exemplified her commitment to children, education and promoting morals and values. Her love of sewing, knitting, crocheting, spinning and weaving gave her the opportunity to let her giving nature shine as she freely gave away most of her completed projects. She also loved her sheep and the opportunity to travel and show them all over the country and especially to share time with all of her friends in the sheep industry. Norma is survived by her husband, Robert Walters of San Miguel, father Clarence Sinclair of Paso Robles, brother Ray Sinclair of Silver Springs, Nevada, children Teresa Terry and Douglas Walters of Paso Robles and Randy Walters of San Miguel, grandchildren Denise Dawson, David and Daniel Terry, Danielle Cota and Andrea Gilliland. Norma was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Sinclair and granddaughter, Amanda Cota. A memorial service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, September 15, at Highlands Church, 215 Oak Hill Road, Paso Robles, near Niblick and South River Road, followed by interment at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Estrella Road, San Miguel. To honor Norma's commitment to education, donations can be made to: San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau Women's Scholarship Fund, 651 Tank Farm Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.

A visitation will be held for Norma on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, 4-7 pm at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home. Her Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, September 15, 2011, 10:00 am at the Highlands Church, 215 Oak Hill Road, Paso Robles, CA, followed by burial at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
