Mrs. Johnson Rites Set
Ovalo - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday for Mrs. Walter F. Johnson, 76 who died at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene. She had been in ill health several years.
Mrs. Johnson was born Ida Armenta Ellis July 10, 1884, in Oklahoma I. T. She moved to Taylor County in 1900 and married Sept. 20, 1904, at Potosi, Tex. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson died March 18, 1955
The Rev. Mack Richardson will officiate at the funeral in Ovalo Baptist Church. He will be assisted by Dr. Albert Munday, church pastor. Burial will be in Potosi Cemetery
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Charlie Allmand of Ovalo, Mrs. S. B McCormick and Mrs. G. E. Jackson, both of Bisbee Ariz.; three sons, Bartley and Chestley, both of Abilene, and Raymond of Bisbee; a sister, Mrs. Bob Morris of Tuscola; 23 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons of Mrs. Johnson will serve as pallbearers.
