Roberta, a twin, was the sixth child born to Frank and Bessie Nix Brixey on June 12, 1937. Interestingly, her twin, Alberta, was born on the 13th. Roberta was raised on her parents farm east of Adair, Mayes County, Oklahoma and enjoyed the blessings of a large, loving family and many happy times together.
She graduated from Adair High School in Adair in May 1955.
She married Richard "Dick" Roberts on September 4, 1955, in Adair in a double wedding ceremony along with her twin Alberta and Dick's first cousin Dale Cohrs.
Roberta worked for many years at Simpson's Mercantile before retiring in 2005. She enjoyed reading, walking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Epsilon Beta Chapter.
