WELL KNOWN CHURCH WORKER IS SUMMONED

Mrs Rosetta Eve Halliday, 67 years of age, wife of Vernee L. Halliday and prominent Church worker of the city, died this morning at the family residence, 232 Canyon road, following an illness resulting from complications of influenza. Besides her husband, Mrs. Halliday is survived by her two sons, Wallace and Stephen.

Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday morning, March 15 at 10 o'clock. The body will be taken to Provo, the birthplace of the deceased, for interment Mrs. Halliday especially requested that no flowers be sent to the services.

Mrs. Halliday was born March 18, 1864, at Provo and was the daughter of David Bunnell and Sally H. Conrad. In 1871 she married Vernee L. Halliday at Provo and was the mother of seven children, only two of whom survive her.

Mr. Halliday took an active part in primary association and Sunday school work at Provo. She was the first teacher in needlework and art in the public schools of that city, for which she was awarded a diploma by President George H. Brimhall. She also was awarded a gold medal and seven cash prizes by the D A and M. society at the Territorial fair, in a needle and fancy work competition. Later, with her husband and family, she moved to Salt Lake, where she studied obstetrics and obtained her certificate from the state board of medical examiners, and was a successful practitioner for years. Of late her life was devoted to genealogical research and Temple work She also took an active part in charities among the poor and needy, and was known for her sacrificing disposition kindness and sympathy
