THE DEATH OF THELMA L. AUSBAN
Mrs. Thelma L. Brock Ausban, 82, a retired Ross Gear Division TRW employee, died at 2:12 p.m. Monday in her home at 1519 North Ninth Street. She had been in failing health four years. Born in Bonham, Texas, she lived in Knoxville, Tennessee, five years prior to coming to Lafayette in 1934. Mrs. Ausban was matron at Ross Gear 24 years, retiring in 1969 and was a member of Auto Workers Union. Her marriage was in 1920, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to Emmit C. Ausban Sr. He was a blacksmith’s helper at Monon Shops. He died in 1971. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hobart (Mary Ruth) Harshman of Lafayette; four sons, Elmer, Edward and Ernest Ausban, all of Lafayette, and Emmit C. Ausban Jr. of Fort Wayne; a brother, Arthur Brock of Live Oak, Cal.
