Mr. D. G. "Alex" Albright,
age 80 of Brodhead, Kentucky passed away Sunday September 18, 2011 at his residence.

Alex was born in Spiro, Kentucky on October 4, 1930 a son of the late John Benton and Molly Viola Hamm Albright. On September 22, 1951 Alex was united in marriage to Helen Blevins and from that union came three children. He was a farmer and the owner of Albright Livestock Trucking for 18 years. He enjoyed mules, horses, beagles, marbles and the Ottawa softball and volleyball teams. He had served as a Rockcastle County Magistrate from the 3rd district, a member of the Wagon Masters and the Ottawa Baptist Church.

Alex is survived by his wife Helen Blevins Albright of Brodhead, Kentucky; Two children: Edgar Lynn Albright (Brenda) of Brodhead, Kentucky and Foneva Joy Albright Todd (Ronnie) of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; Four grandchildren: Angela Janine Albright Cornelius, Natalie Lynne Albright, Michael Glen Todd and Ronald Kevin Todd; Five Great-Grandchildren: Charles Kenneth Cornelius III, Cameron Lynn Cornelius, Madison Michelle Stewart, Michael Alex Todd and Abigail Grace Todd; One brother: P.D. Albright (Marianne) of Paris, Kentucky; Three sisters: Mary Harper and P. Dawn Brock, both of Brodhead, Kentucky and Hazel Smiley of Straton, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents Alex is preceded in death by one son: Gordon Burnett Albright; Three brothers: Jay Albright, Lloyd Keith Albright and Everett Moses Albright; and Three sisters: Edith Brown Nicely, Leon McClure and Faye Hurley White.

Funeral services for Mr. Alex Albright will be conducted on Thursday September 22, 2011 at 2 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. R. C. Flynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Ottawa Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Alex Albright will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2011 from 6-9 PM and on Thursday September 22, 2011 from 1 PM until time of service at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ottawa Cemetery Fund, 1693 Willailla Road, Brodhead, Kentucky 40409.
