Frederick Clarence Jensen, age 86, passed away March 9, 2003 from natural causes.
He was born June 28, 1916 to Neils Frederick and Eudora Jensen in Moroni, UT. Married Vera Luella Johnson February 24, 1941; marriage solemnized January 6, 1949 in the Manti Temple. Fred served proudly in the US Army during World War II. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints, where he held many positions including member of the Bishopric, High Priest, Temple worker, and others. During his life he worked in construction, homebuilding, and retried as a carpenter supervisor from Granite School District. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years; daughters, Winnie (Scott) Iverson, Yuma, AZ and Janine (Dave) Ervin, Richmond, UT; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Oris Watson, Erda, UT; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; beloved son, Terry Ray Jensen; three brothers; and three sisters. Special thanks to the VA Hospital Administration and staff for their care. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003 at the Elk Run Chapel, 3610 South 8400 West, where friends may call both Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Fairview Cemetery. Directors: Peel Funeral Home, Magna.
