Born in Tennessee, William Zachariah Harshbarger was the firstborn son of David Andrew & Mary Evaline (Fraker) Harshbarger, one of 7 children born to them. Will was married March 25 1896 in Greene Co, TN, to Emma O (Bolton)- who was daughter of James & Mary Bolton. Will and Emma Harshbarger had a family of 3 daughters and 2 sons.

I have a copy of the booklet written by Will's sister, Tera (Harshbarger) Simmons, entitled "These Nine", telling about herself and siblings, growing up memories, etc., and including a photo on the cover of David & Mary Harshbarger and their 7 children.
Will was named after his paternal grandfather, Zachariah Samuel Harshbarger.
