Charles Swihart
Charles "Bill" SWIHART, 68, Macy, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn hospital after a one-week illness.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1904, in Kosciusko county to Frank E. and Berdella KLINE SWIHART and had lived in this area his entire life. He was married on Oct. 4, 1932, to Evelyn KAMP, who survives. He was retired five years from the General Tire and Rubber company in Wabash and was a member of the Modern Woodman lodge.
Surviving are the wife; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Janet) STREBY, North Manchester; Mrs. Jerry (Joyce) HUDSON, Akron, and Mrs. David (Karen) MILEY, Peru; a son, George SWIHART, Roann; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother and sister, Russell SWIHART and Mrs. Burle (Beulah) KAMP, both of Akron. A grandchild and a sister preceded in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, with the Rev. Lowell BURRUS officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday and on Saturday until the hour of service.
