Virginia, 83, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her family. She was born to Henry & Lois Holley, and raised by her maternal grandparents, Henry & Zella Martin, after her mother's death 9 months after her birth.

Virginia retired, after 42 years, in 2003 as a top salesperson for Avon Products. She was the first recipient of the "Spirit of Avon" award first in her own District, then in the surrounding 3 State District. She was a member of the President's Club, Rose Circle, and Circle of Excellence of the Avon Company.

Virginia was also active in the Crossroads United Brethren Church and life member of their Missionary Society, as well as directing church Christmas pageants and Sunday School parties. She enjoyed reading books on tape, crocheting, and being with people. She was blessed by all she met and was a blessing to all that knew her.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ernam, and her daughters: Silver (Marv) Spitzley, and Dawn (Dan) Hoffman, both of Charlotte. She had 4 grand children: Autumn (Gary) Teeple of Roanoke, Indiana; Nathan (Sarah) Spitzley of Jackson; Cassie (Casey) King of Stevensville; and Jason (Melissa) Hulsebos of Springport. She has 7 great grand children and two more due next month. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Ryan of Arizona, sister-in-law, Carol Holley of Shaftsburg, sister-in-law, Anna Mae Conley-Jones and Sharon Young both of Charlotte and Jean Royston of Texas, several nieces and nephews, cousins and an aunt, Zella Holcomb, of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ron, in 2010 and great grandson, Ethan Teeple in 2007.

The family would like to thank the caretakers at home: Joyce Gidner, Karen Halliwill, Lou Dun, and Chuck Jensen, along with staffs at Dimondale Center and Eaton County Medical Care Facility, and Sparrow Hospital 7th Foster.

Funeral services were Monday, September 26, 2011 at Pray Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Carpenter and Pastor Mike Arnold officiating.

At her request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Crossroads United Brethren Church, Eaton Community Hospice, Helping Hands, or Charlotte Public or State of Michigan Libraries Books for the Blind.
