She was the daughter of Michael & Hannah Gephart, the former a native of Union County, the latter of Ireland. In 1821 they came to Centre County where they spent their remaining days. She was the mother of the following: Emma wife of John Beck a cabinet maker in Duncannon Pa, Ella who is with her father, Angeline wife of James Tharp a conductor on the Lehigh Valley Railroad & residing in Easton Pa, Mary wife of Harold Breisch of Easton Pa, Winfield S a dentist of Bellwood Blair Pa & Edwin J.
