Final Rites for Cortland Man to Be Paid Sunday

Clyde E. Aldis of Cortland, member of a long prominent family in that community, will be paid final respects Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church of Cortland with Rev. A. W. Otis officiating. Burial will be Cortland cemetery.
Mr. Aldis, known by many as "Pete," died early Thursday morning in DeKalb Glidden hospital where ten days before he had been admitted for a major operation. He was 44 years old at his passing.
He was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Aldis of Cortland and had resided in that community all his life. His wife, the former Myrtle Lawler, eight children, his elderly mother, two brothers and three sisters mourn his demise.
With his brother Arthur, Clyde Aldis had been engaged in a rendering business for many years and of late had been a farmer a short distance east of town.
