Casper Limbach, 82 of Bonfield passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at home surrounded by his wife and family.
Casper was born August 9, 1929 in Chicago, the son of Casper and Margaret Limbach. Casper was married to Mary (Cavanaugh) on May 26, 1951 at Holy Rosary Irish Church in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary with their family. They moved to Kankakee in 1970. Casper retired from Gerber Baby Food Co. in 1991 after 35 years of service. Casper enjoyed his retirement tending to his house and garden. Casper is survived by his beloved wife Mary. He is the loving father of Larry (Patti), Peggy (Len) Kuchyak, Mary, Janet (and the late Don Robbins), Mark (Donna), Marge (butch) Hess, and Robert (Natalie). Proud grandfather of Matt (Michelle), Dina, Brian (Lisa), Joseph, Meghan, Sarah, Emily, Jonathon, Amanda, Kaite, Elly, Alexa, Spencer, Morgan, and Miranda. Cherished great-grandfather of Brandon, Dallas, Mackenzie, Mason, Atley, Brian, and Liam. Dear brother of Mary (Bob) Fuson. Uncle and friend to many. Proceeded in death by his parents, sister Evelyn, and niece Linda.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Kankakee. Burial will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Hospice of Kankakee Valley or memorial masses in Casper's name.
