Mr. Henderson

William Low Henderson, 89, of Lampass died Sept. 19, 2011, at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple.
Funeral services were Sept. 22 at Frist Baptist Church in Kempner with Reid Schaub and Don Casper officiating. Burial was at Kempner Cemetery.
Mr. Henderson was born April 5, 1922, in Lampasas County, the son of Earnest C. and Gertrude Parsons Henderson.
He grew up in the area and attended Mt. Pleasant School.
Mr. Henderson served in the U.S. Army under General Patton during World War II.
He married Mildred Bradley on Nv. 30 1946, in Lampasas, and she preceded him in death in 2004.
Mr. Henderson was a member of First Baptist Church in Kempner where he served as song leader and deacon for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenna Henderson of Lampasas; two sons, William L. Henderson Jr. and wife, Ginger, and Brent Henderson, all of Lampasas; four sisters Alice Cantwell and Pat Hughes of Austin, and Lena Williams and Addie Mae Ralph of Lampasas; two brothers, Earnest Henderson Jr. of Lampasas, and Leo Henderson of Waco; five grandchildren Michele Maaninga, Tiffany Barton, Casie Edwards, Crystal Banks and Marcia Henderson Bayless; and two great-grandchildren Jay Edwards and Karissa Banks.
Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by three brothers, "Bub", Richard and Charles, and by a sister, Joyce Brackett.
