The Tomah Journal - 22 June 1906:

"The remains of William W. Alexander of Emerald, Wis., were brought here for burial on Monday. Services were held at the Baptist church at 2 p.m. Rev. Josiah Phillips preached the sermon from II Cor. 5:6. The deceased was born in Adams county, Ohio, Oct 10, 1873 and was married to Miss Edith Johnston of Warrens at Elsworth, Wis., May 15, 1895. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and an adopted daughter, a sister and a brother. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Johnston of Minneapolis were here to attend the funeral of Wm. Alexander."

He was a telegraph operator. Died of pulmonary tuberculosis.
