Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle, Ned C. Allinson, passed away June 24, 2010 at his home surrounded by his wife and children.

Ned was born in Eureka, Utah to Edward Everett and Della Mae Banks Allinson. He was the last surviving child of their nine children. Upon graduating from Tintic High School Ned joined the Navy at age 17. He was a veteran of WWII. At the close of the war he returned home from serving honorably in the Pacific Theater and married Dorothy Ekker on December 31, 1948.

Ned spent his life working in the Tintic Mining District at various mines. He was a volunteer fireman and a member of the Utah State Fireman's Assn. for 37 years. He was a long-time member of the American Legion Post 0034, Senior Citizens, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a past Exalted Ruler and life member of the BPOE Lodge 711.

Ned was very involved with the youth in the community. In the early 60's he and Bob Fife organized the Little League program. It continues to this day. He and Bill Eastwood established Eureka's first Cub Scout pack. Ned was the first Cub Master and their wives served as the first Den Mothers.

Dad was a true cowboy at heart, raising horses and running cattle in the Sheeprock mountains. His greatest pleasure was gathering his family together at the family cabin. As his health failed he went from 4 hooves to 4 wheels riding the mountains closer to home on his 4-wheeler.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, children, Ned "Stormy", Eureka, Launa (Glen) Jones, Riverton, Bob (Carol), Cedar City, Randy (Margaret), Goshen, Chad (Karen), Eureka; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters and a grandson, Bobby.
