Estelle Marie Blanche (Gagnon) Godbout, 81, of Manchester, died April 13, 2003, at a local health care facility after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on May 10, 1921, the daughter of William and Yvonne (Cote) Gagnon. She was educated in the local schools.
She had worked in the local shoe industry, having retired from JF McElwain in the 1970s.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert A. Godbout, in 1995.
Family members include two sons, Alfred A. Godbout of Manchester and Paul H. Godbout of Nashua; a daughter, Jeannette V. Martel of Suncook; three grandchildren; a brother, Germain Gagnon of Goffstown; a sister, Joan D'Arc Crain of Dawsonville, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: A calling hour will be held at McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St., corner of Hanover Street, Manchester, on Tuesday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Bldg., 360 State Rte. 101, Suite 501, Bedford 03110-5032.
