Mrs. Minnie Smith
COTTON VALLEY-Mrs. Minnie Smith, 79 died Sunday in a Jackson, Mississippi nursing home after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Arcadia and resided in Cotton Valley for 40 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cotton Valley.
Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. in the Evergreen Methodist Church near Cotton Valley with Rev. Jimmy Lilly, pastor of the Barron Road Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Leo Stinson of Shreveport and R.B. Stinson of Cotton Valley; two daughters, Alice Bowden of Shreveport and Helen Pugh of Texarkana, Ark.; three sisters, Odessa Otwell of Ruston, Mrs. W.L. Ratcliff of Cotton Valley and Vada Humphrey of Shreveport; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
