Herbert C. House was born in the town of Hastings, Oswego Co, New York, Nov 3, 1839, and died at his home in the town of Colburn, Wis., January 19, 1915.
He came with his parents to Wisconsin in 1856 and settled in the town of Hancock , moving to Adams county in 1874. He was married to Rose Holmes August 14, 1894, who together with two sisters and two brothers are left to mourn the loss.
Funeral services were conducted at West Hancock M.E. church Thursday afternoon by Rev. S.S. Scorse.
