Betty Lou was born in East Walnut, OK. She married Jene W. Edmonds on August 10, 1961 in Tucumcari, NM. She was also active in the American Humane Society, the American Kennel Club, and several Veterans organizations. Betty Lou especially loved raising Yorkies, playing games with her family, gardening and crocheting. She also enjoyed collecting toothpick holders, from very ornate to common ones; she was a member of the Toothpick Holders Association, who fondly call themselves "toothpickers." She was also a member of the First Christian Church in Clinton, OK. Above all else,
