Died, Tuesday, April 2, 2002, in Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Oxford, MS. Mr. Markette was the widower of Inez Bonney Markette. He served with the Navy Sea Bees during World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonney M. Poremski of Nashville, TN, Bettye M. Milligan of Greensboro, NC, Becky Cameron of New Iberia, LA; a sister, Mimi Denham of Laurel; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2002, at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002, in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oxford.
Ben worked with MDOT & Harrison County MS., as an Engineer, Project Engineer, & County Engineer.
He was a good friend to me.
