Clayton W. Laverty, formerly of Enola,died yesterday morning at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Victor P. Coble, Lewisberry, R.D. He was 70 years old and had been ill for four weeks. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Enola. Surviving are five sons, Charles E., Jacob M. and Aaron F. Laverty of Enola; Harvey W. Laverty of Harrisburg and Paul H. Laverty of Pottstown; four daughters, Mrs. Myles F. Rockey, of New Cunberland; Mrs. Coble, Lewisberry R.D., Mrs. Leroy Keyser of Pottstown, and Mrs Leroy Sites,Enola; 22 children; 1 great-grandchild, a brother Jacob M. Laverty of Middletown, and a sister, Mrs. H.E. Seitz of Enola. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the H.R. Erney funeral home, Lewisberry, with further services at St.Paul's Lutheran Church, better known as Stone Church, near Wertzville at 2:45 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow night from 7 to 9 o'clock.
Clayton W. Laverty was born 4 March 1868 in Cumberland County, PA. He died 22 January 1939.
