William S. Harding, aged 51, a foreman of the Sand Spring Water Company, died Tuesday evening, April 12, in the Somerset Community Hosptal after a protracted illness from a complication of diseases.
He was a son of Sanford and Caroline (Crissinger) Harding, both deceased, and was born April 18, 1885.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie (Bowers) Harding and two children - Mrs. Joseph Watson of Allentown and Lester Harding of Meyersdale. He also leaves an adopted daughter, Mary Jane Harding, and these brothers and sisters: Frank, Salisbury; George, Pittsburgh; Harry, Beckley, W. Va.; Carrie, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Charles Zimmerman and Mrs. Arthur Lape, Somerset, and Mrs. Jack Duff, McKees Rocks.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon by Rev. George L. Detweiler, pastor of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Interment in Union Cemetery, under the direction of J. L. Tressler.
