Lynda was born on August 28, 1957 to Marlyn and Elaine (Stahmann) Matson. She graduated from Sheboygan South High, Class of 1975.
She was united in marriage to James L. Berg, her first and only true love, on April 23, 1977 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2002.
Lynda was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She was also a member of the Women of the Moose #2046 and enjoyed Trap Shooting for many years. Her pride and joy was her grandson, Elijah, with whom she spent countless hours. She was a loving mother to Amy and Mike and cherished all the time she spent with them.
In addition to her husband, Jim and father, Marlyn, Lynda was preceded in death by a nephew, Raymond Brickner IV; and an infant brother, Danny Matson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Ballhorn Chapels. Per Lynda's wishes, cremation will take place following the services.
Lynda showed her family what the meaning of courage and strength and love was all about. Even at the end of her life she would smile at us and say, "I Love You," which touched all our hearts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt who touched us in so many ways. She will never be forgotten. She will be sadly missed and always loved.
