Winfred William Soules, 76, of Gloster died April 27, 2001, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La.

Visitation is 6-9 tonight and 9 a.m. Monday until 11 a.m. services at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster. Pastor Dennis Fink will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Centreville.

Mr. Soules was born May 6, 1924, in Star, Texas, to James Fowler Soules and Maggie Soules. He was self-employed. He was a member of Gloster United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Marines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mable Grace Soules of Gloster; two sons, Roger Dale Soules and wife Audrey of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and Bill Soules of Satellite Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Brenda Soules of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters.
