J. P. Darr and Miss F. A. McCullough were married in Pickens County by R. W. P. Bradley, Justice of the Peace, on January 20, 1881.

According to Find A Grave contributor mtshelton2000, the subject of this memorial was born Frances Angelina, daughter of W. A. McCullough and Martha Holcomb. Her father died of measles in 1862 while serving the the Civil War, and in 1865 the contributor’s great grandfather, James Marion Cox, married the widow Martha Holcomb McCullough.
