Verna Hinkel Boyd, 75, of Susquehanna Twp., died Friday in Frey Village, Middletown.
She retired as a registered nurse from the state Health Department, was a graduate of Frackville High School and the former Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing; a Cadet Reserve Nurse Corps veteran of World War II; and a member of the American Business Women's Association, Steelton Moose Lodge 919 and the National Council of Senior Citizens.
Surviving are three sons, Carl R. Enola, Bradley N. of Middletown and James N. of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Neill Funeral Home, Paxtang. Burial will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurses Association, 3315 Derry St., Harrisburg 17111.
