"The Rev. Thomas "T.W." Hower, 67, of 8 N. Main Street, Bangor, former pastor of Wind Gap and Belfast Methodist churches, died Monday, May 25, at home.

Hower, who retired in 1983, formerly was pastor of Schuylkill Haven Methodist Church; Marietta and Bainbridge Methodist churches in Lancaster County; Halifax Methodist Church in Dauphin County, and New Philadelphia, Cumbola and Middleport, Methodist churches in Schuylkill County.

A graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, D.C., he entered the ministry in 1961.

Born in Morea Colliery, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Geary Sr. and Hannah (Faulder) Hower.

He was a member of Bushkill United Methodist Church, Bushkill Township, and First United Methodist Church, Bangor.

Survivors: Sons, Charles T. of Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Mark T. of Bath, David W. of Nazareth and Thomas W. of Pen Argyl; daughters, Linda M. Shepler of Columbia, Lancaster County, and Barbara A. of Elizabethtown, Lancaster County; brothers, the Rev. William of Reading and James of Oxford, Del., 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Hough Home for Funerals, 207 Market St., Bangor. Call 7-9 p.m. today.
