Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully in his home on September 17, 2011.

Robert Allen Pixton is survived by his wife, Eunice, and their four children, Robert Lenz (Miriam), Jeralyn (Tom), Lisa, and Brent Allen (Angela); thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Robert was born December 13, 1928 in Vernal, Utah to Robert Leroy and Emma Schmidt Pixton; he was eighty-two years old. He was the eldest living son of twelve children.

Robert attended Draper Park School, Jordan High School, and received his bachelor's degree from Utah State University in Education. He earned his master's degree from the University of Utah in Education Administration. He served in the LDS Northern States mission.

On August 21, 1952, he married his sweetheart, Eunice Ellen Hunt, in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in the Air Force in California from 1954-1956 at which time they moved back to Utah.

He was an avid educator for thirty years and taught for the Jordan School District at Mount Jordan Middle School, Union Middle School, and Hillcrest High School.

He served as a Jordan River Temple ordinance worker for sixteen years. In 1993-1994 Robert and Eunice served a mission in the Baton Rouge Louisiana Mission.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eastridge Eighth Ward Chapel, 1020 East Sunburn Lane (11575 South), Sandy. A viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East), Midvale, on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning at the chapel from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in the Sandy City Cemetery.
