AUBURN - Cecelia C. (Scheivert) Hanson, 91, formerly of 37 Chestnut Ave., died yesterday in the Providence Extended Care Center, 119 Providence St., Worcester, after a long illness.
Her husband, Russell G. Hanson, died in 1951. She leaves three sons, Paul L.A. Hanson of Worcester, David H. Hanson of Slaterville, N.Y., and Raymond S. Hanson of Dudley; a brother, Paul Scheivert of Littlestown, Pa.; three daughters, Hilda E. Ristau of Ione, Wash., Hope J. Walsh of Auburn and Iva E. Desilets of Worcester; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. A son, Milton A. Hanson of Spencer, died in 1991. She was born in Hanover, Pa., daughter of Charles and Jennie (Sell) Scheivert, and lived in Worcester from 1931 to 1958, and then Auburn for 26 years, before returning to Worcester in 1994.
She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Auburn.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Ellen Rogers Kennedy Memorial Chapel at Rural Cemetery, Worcester. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester.
