Mrs. Edwin P. Breen, 44, of 1040 Fairfield Ave. NW, wife of the owner of Breen's Delivery Service, died Friday at Butterworth Hospital after an illness of six weeks.

Mrs. Breen was office manager and accountant for her husband's firm. She was president of the Grand Rapids chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants.

She became affiliated with the women's accountants chapter in 1945 and was made chairman of the legislative committee. She also served as treasurer of the chapter and chairman of the education committee. In 1952 she was elected first vice president and prgram coordinator and was installed as president in June of 1953.

She was also a member and former director of the Grand Rapids Quota club and a member of the American Trucking Accounting and Statistical Society.

Mrs. Breen was a member of Park Congregational Church and a former leader of the church's Dregge Ten. Born in Marne, she had lived in Grand Rapids since 1932.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Gayle at home; a son, Edwin P., Jr., of East Lansing, and a brother, Clifford L. Gillette of Grand Rapids.

The body is at Alt Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Park Congregational Church with Rev. Adelbert J Buttry officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Memorial Park.
