August died in March, but was not buried until May 31. He was to be buried at the Oddfellows Cemetery, but it was being torn down at this time. Then came the earthquake. He was cremated. His wife, Bertha, is also buried here, but the cemetery has her name as Bertha Kingston (this is an error)
