Robert Elam Faries (1881-1955) was the son of David Jeff Faries (1830-1917) and Julia Anne Newell (1845-1934) originally from Tennessee, David and Julia traveled to Texas immediately after the Civil War. Robert Elam was born in Hill County, Texas and married Anna Penelope Sanders.
