Mrs. Leota Botkin, 550 Rex St., wife of Elmer E. Botkin, widely-known Muncie attorney, died at Ball Memorial Hospital early Friday morning after an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Botkin was born at Monrovia, and has been a resident of Muncie 55 years. She was a member of High Street Methodist Church, a graduate of Muncie High School with the class of 1895, a graduate of Earlham College with the class of 1898 and a member of the Athaneum Club.
Surviving are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Botkin Coffin, teaches in McKinley High School, and the granddaughter, Judith Coffin, all of Muncie.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Meeks mortuary with Dr. A. Wesley Pugh in charge. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Friday.
